The Role

As Business Development Representative (BDR) you will work with experiencedAccount Executives to prospect into Enterprise accounts to generate qualified newbusiness opportunities. You will identify and research named-target lists of companiesin order to generate new business opportunities. You will be working closely with yourAccount Executive as well as creating account maps and strategies for prospects thatmeet our ideal customer profile (ICP).

As a BDR you will conduct high-level conversations with senior HR and Technologyexecutives about their business and Employee Experience (EX) challenges andoperations. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual whois goal-oriented, methodical, and tenacious, and can effectively interact with bothinternal and external stakeholders.

This role would ideally suit an experienced, successful B2B seller who wants to breakinto the booming SaaS Employee Experience (EX) sector, pitching world-class,innovative, and disruptive technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
  • Research accounts to build a strong understanding of how to target them
  • Create account maps and strategies – ensure quality and well-researched opportunities

  • Strategise with account executives on approach and traction for new business opportunities.
  • Engage with executives via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior executives around their business needs
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
  • Work hand-in glove with Sales and Marketing – ensuring a steady flow of communication
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage CRM and prospecting tools including Hubspot, and LeadOnion

Skills and Experience Profile

  • Minimum 1 year of proven B2B sales / business development experience (not necessarily in SaaS)
  • You have a proven business acumen, and you are not afraid to knock on doors
  • Desire to prove yourself
  • Coachable
  • Confident and resourceful
  • Positive "can-do" attitude – you have good ideas, and you can innovate
  • Collaborative team player
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • You are tech-savvy
  • Experience using some sort of CRM system (Hubspot / SalesForce would be ideal) and Google Suite
